i have been here for two weeks on thursday and it's still feel lost a lot of the time and it still occassionally strikes me that wow i am living in europe, but mostly i feel like i'm settling in pretty well and am very happy with my choice to come to edinburgh. i went around being tourist-y and taking photos last week. here are some that are the best.

Welcome to Edinburgh. It is a crappy time of year so don't judge it too harshly, it will get better.
I love the summer, it comes alive and the festival makes the place change again. There are so many things about the city that are european and not british. It has a wonderful feel to it.
